Description

The egg has always held symbolic significance, partly because it is a visual symbol for new life and un-hatched potential. The egg brings hope and purity even amidst surrounding chaos. It is a symbol of fertility and the circle of life. For some the egg is seen as a symbol of luck and wealth.

I chose to make this in bronze, exactly like the ancient Greeks with the lost wax casting technique. This material (and sculpture) will last in eternity, another metaphor of the egg. The egg is embossed with my signature dot pattern. I feel like this sculpture is a talisman, more so when you take a cloth to polish it. Only 5 are made in bronze, and I keep one for myself.
